Going Green

Oh the joys of being pressured to eat healthier and be more conscious of what I bring home. A few posts back I showed off our new grocery bags (wish I could remember to use them!) expressing a desire to join the “club” of organic’s and green’s. Overall it seems like it wouldn’t be a hardship to remember these bags when I have purposefully put them in the car for easy access! While reading about going green I was impressed with how organic and green I already keep my home….when it comes to food at least. So, to show off a little I’ll talk about how I love! our new steamer. 51f7xh1jvbl_sl500_aa280_.jpgThis is the easiest change in our diet and definitely for the better. Our steamer has two layers (wish it had 3) so we can cook rice and veggies or two veggies or veggie meat and veggies…you get the idea. Overall we’re eating healthier and less. My favorite so far is the artichoke done in 20 minutes…mmm, getting hungry. The best part is we can dump everything in the steamer when we get home and it is ready in an hour while we’re recovering from working all day. Now if I could only find an easier way to get exercise (sigh) back to weights and the exercise bike.
