Lemony Goodness

Has it been a week already? Time goes so fast in adult years. I really miss recess! Anyway, here is the Lemon Cake bunt loaf mentioned earlier.

Isn’t she pretty?

This is about 6lbs of Bramble Berry’s shaving soap.

Up close you can see a little of the yellow mica shimmer.

I cut the loaf  into Giant Shaving Soap. The slices weigh between 9.3 to 11.8 oz.

I self test all of my soap and often hubby tests it too before putting it up in my shop so here is the skinny. I really love this M&P shaving soap from Bramble Berry. I’ve actually sliced off a chunk and used it plain so I already knew it would be a great soap.

The Lemon Cake bunt loaf has a ton of lather without SLS that my mother-in-law and husband are allergic to. The lemon smell is wonderful with just a little bit of creamy scent and the color is super cheerful both of which helped perk me up after a short night. The giant size wasn’t as nice as my smaller bars so I’d recommend cutting it into two pieces for a more manageable size. Hubby loved the scent a lot but wasn’t sold on the big bar since he is really attached to a soap saver/scrubber I bought that’s made out of that plastic shower poof stuff. Next time I make this I’ll use my new cube mold or cross my fingers the new bar loaf or pipe mold I ordered back in April from an Etsy seller.

My final grade

  • A- Shaving (got razor bumps on the test run but I was shaving fast)
  • A+ Lather
  • A+ Scent
  • A- Size (when cut in half it’s a perfect size)
