Getting Ready for the Holidays

This time of year (106 degrees today) always makes me wish for cooler weather and the many traditions celebrated. I’m not taking about just the big ones, which I love, but little ones like baking pumpkin bread or driving to Apple Hill to pick apples and even the crazy shopping traditions. Some start this as early as January when everything is on sale but I like to start browsing around August or September when the craft stores are stocked with holiday decorations and supplies. This year I’m READY for the cooler weather and to get me in the mood I bought several new Christmas and Halloween soap molds that will create fun and different shapes. I also bought several new scents like gingersnap, pumpkin pie, and fresh snow.

Life has been busy busy busy but I managed a batch of layered soap bars in yummy gingersnap last night. Here they are! Perfect for my holiday cravings.

Ingredients: Goats Milk M&P, Orange Mica, Copper Sparkle Mica, Moroccan Red Clay, Gold Sparkle Mica, Gingersnap Fragrance.

  1. I’m ready for fall too! Gingersnap and Pumpkin Pie are two fabulous Fall fragrances. Bring on the cold, crisp air (and pumpkin bread)!
