I’ve been meaning to post all last week but that didn’t happen. Didn’t get enough sleep or something because nothing got done except a bit more progress on my scarf.

When I mean nothing I really mean nothing, no house work, nothing. This week started off really well with the hubby switching me over to Wordpress which has me ecstatic! wow, even my own chat window. Our main blog over on masongarden.com has had a chat window forever but the old site just didn’t have much AT ALL! Ok, so enough about the update.
Ok, so maybe just one sneak preview but that’s ALL I’m going to say!
The promised yummy/test baking project is a little on hold till tomorrow. There just isn’t enough time in my day to finish up everything I want to do

and the things I have to do before hubby goes crazy with the down stair in an upheaval

because it looks like this

On to happy notes. Last week I had this lovely sock yarn show up in the mail from joining a Sock of the Month knitting club, if you’re interested you’ll have to check it out yourself because it’s a secret

MasonCJ is also getting some new inventory. These glass Ball jars I’ve turned into oil lamps.

Random other projects that are sitting around

This is my first crocheted scarf that I never finished. It’s a shell pattern in a lime green mercerized cotton. Might be Patrons but not sure.
Here is another shell scarf. The photo is terrible. The color is really a forest green more like this picture

Well, that isn’t really a good image either but closer.
I’m off to get some sleep so I’ll leave you with a kitty picture

I’m off the wagon and it’s leaving me in the dust this week. It all started with a new restaurant opening next to work. They serve specialty pizza’s. I HAD to go on Thursday and of course I wanted to share with my parents so we all went on Saturday. Saturday night I knew I was having problems when Wii Fit said I’d gained 3lbs. Then…I didn’t go grocery shopping so there wasn’t food for lunch so I went out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday….and probably tomorrow and while I’m at it Friday, but I always have a smoothie for lunch on Friday.
It gets worse. I was having a bad day Monday so my husband bought me ginger snaps of the really tasty yet organic variety. Then Monday night he wanted to go to the bookstore where I always get coffee and cheesecake. I only got the cheesecake and I waited to eat it till Tuesday and I shared it but still. On top of it all I haven’t exercised since I found out I’d gained 3lbs SHAME ON ME. :::sigh::: oh, did I mention the dozen chocolate covered strawberries my husband sent me for our anniversary….
Today I am slowly crawling back to the wagon. I’m drinking water and eating a smaller lunch and TONIGHT the Wii is calling my name!

To say I’m off the bandwagon might be an understatement. Two weeks ago I was excited and exercised twice in three days then came my week of finals and everything went to hell. Two days after finals and I just don’t have energy to jump back on that wagon. I want to but I’m sooo tired.
Yesterday did not help my motivation. I found out that my husband will not graduate in the fall and so he will miss his opportunity to get a raise. HE DOES THE SAME WORK AS EVERYONE HE WORKS WITH BUT GETS PAID AT LEAST $10/HR LESS BECAUSE OF THE F* DEGREE. Needless to say I’m not happy. This puts everything off schedule for another year, including babies. That ticks me off the most because a friend and I were planning similar due dates (yes, I know it doesn’t always work like planned) :::deep breath::: I’ll live and I’ll probably be happy I waited….eventually, but I’m a planner, darn-it. I like to plan ahead.
So…………today I had a low fat pumpkin spiced latte, pumpkin seeds with honey and sesame seeds…mmm (Harvest Roast brand), and a fruit leather (oh, did I mention the coffee cake and vitamin water too). At least I had to walk 10 minutes get it. Tonight I vow to walk up and down the stairs at least twice before crawling into bed, probably without dinner. (How will I ever survive children???)
On a side note, I noticed several bloghers who wanted easy stomach exercises. I recommend the book Maternal Fitness by Julie Tupler. It has pictures! (I’m already using this stuff and I’m not pregnant yet. Loving it)
